Tweenies

Age Range: 24months to 3 ½ years

Day to day routine and activities revolve predominantly around language, creative and social development.

8-11am Free play. Indoors and Outdoors. Creative activity (such as art, music, baking).
11am-11.20am Intimacy Island - a dedicated time with the children’s key worker. A particular topic is explored, usually through story telling, group discussion or music.
11.20am-11.30am Handwashing.
11.30am-12pm Lunch. Children are expected to feed themselves and are encouraged to serve themselves where possible.
12pm-2pm Sleep or free play. The Tweenies will spend some time playing with the Toddler group, to encourage social development
2pm-3.30pm Creative activities and play(indoors and out)
3.30pm-3.40pm Handwashing
3.40pm-4.15pm Tea. Children are expected to select their own finger food and pour drinks
4.15pm-6pm Play, indoors and out.

Each of our children have free flow access to the garden at any time throughout the day, and are all encouraged to be vocal and express their needs.

Regular development observations are made by the staff and daily reports are given to parents to take home.
